Professor Lucarelli is a certified black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, under Lucas Pires of The Werdum Combat Team, and has extensive training in various striking arts. He was recently promoted to his 2nd black belt by professor Octavio Couto. Professor Lucarelli has been training since 1997 and has been a Jiu-Jitsu instructor since 2004.
After only competing in two local tournaments as a white belt, Professor competed in March 2015 at IBJJF’s Pan American Championship and placed 2nd in his division.
September 2015 he participated in the World Master Championship, where he also brought home 2nd place!
In March 2016 Professor placed 3rd in his division at IBJJF’s Pan Amercian Championship. Next, he plans to compete in the 2016 World Master Championship.
Professor Lucarelli is passionate about martial arts in his own life as well as instilling the benefits that training in martial arts has to offer in students of all ages.
Quinten has 25 years wrestling experience and has recently been promoted to black belt. He was 2006 All-America honoree by Wrestling USA, 3x high school All American, 2x Colorado high school state champion, 2x Out standing wrestler at the high school state championships. Quinten was the recipient of the David Shultz award was a 4x placer at the high school state championships 3x finalist. Quinten also Started for Oklahoma State University at 149 pounds.
After College Quinten decided it was time to retire from wrestling and has now found a new love…Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu! His skill set brings a whole new view and mindset when he coaches the adult class. He lives in the Johnstown/Millikan community with his wife Lindsay and two sons Lux and Beau.
Robert has been in the martial arts off and on for much of his life. He was in Law Enforcement for over 20 years with 10 years as a Use of Force and Weaponless defense Instructor. He has been with Fudochi BJJ as a student for several years now, and as a coach for the kids classes for over a year and a half.
He has coached in multiple sports for kids of all levels including soccer and hockey, but has found a real passion for coaching kids in jiu-jitsu. He has competed twice, taking home silver and bronze medals for his age and weight class.
He lives in Johnstown with his Wife Victoria. His daughter and son, Claire and Ezra, also participate in jiu-jitsu here at Fudochi.
Andrew has been training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Professor Lucarelli since 2010. He started when he was six years old, so he has been training over half his life. He has participated in every class that Fudochi has offered.
The road hasn’t always been easy for him, but the persistence has paid off. He coaches the kids’ classes alongside Professor Lucarelli and Coach Robert. This is his first experience teaching and he enjoys participating in all the classes and loves the new opportunities and experiences that come with it.
Outside of martial arts and school, Andrew enjoys geeky pursuits like Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons. He lives in Milliken with his older brother, who is also a Fudochi student, and his mom and dad.
